Our Favorite Place to Eat Near The Thornton Inn: Taste Community Restaurant in Arlington
When guests at The Thornton Inn ask us where to eat in Arlington, one of our first recommendations is Taste Community Restaurant in Downtown Arlington.
Located near The Thornton Inn and the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), Taste is one of those places we think visitors to Arlington should know about.
There are plenty of reasons to love it. The menu changes with the seasons, the ingredients are fresh, and Taste has one of the most interesting restaurant concepts in Arlington: there are no set prices on the menu.
Guests can pay what they can afford, pay what they would normally expect to pay for their meal, or pay a little extra to help provide a meal for someone else.
But most importantly, the food.
The food is amazing.
On our latest visit, we had the avocado toast, and it was almost too pretty to eat. Almost. Taste is the kind of restaurant where the mission might get you through the door, but the food will make you want to come back.
Because the menu is seasonal, there's always something new to discover. It's a particularly great choice for lunch or weekend brunch while you're exploring Downtown Arlington.
A Thornton Inn Tip: Make a reservation before you go.
Walk-ins are welcome, but Taste can get busy. Making a reservation online is quick and easy, and we'd much rather have our guests sitting down to an incredible meal than waiting for a table.
